My name is Dr Margaux Horn. I am a cardiac physiologist, a Senior Lecturer at Keele University, and the creator of ActivePhysiology.com: a repository of interactive resources for students studying physiology and pharmacology.

I am passionate about helping students gain a deeper understanding of complex physiology topics. The resources on this site have been designed to encourage “active learning” – a method of teaching that focuses on the student’s active involvement in the learning process. All of the resources are interactive so the student is doing something while they learn. The aim of this is to facilitate engagement and improve knowledge attainment.
